About

Certo First Aid Training specialises in quality first aid training with a difference.

Our courses are fun, informative and to the point, led by people with real life experience in helping to save lives.

First Aid courses that are never dragged out or boring. Our aim is to ensure everyone leaves with the confidence that they too can help save a life.

The history of the company

Marcus launched his own first aid training business in February 2016, following in his father’s footsteps. His dad was a paramedic for the Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) in Toowoomba who later became one of only three paramedic educators in Queensland. When he left the QAS, he started his own training organisation.

After first qualifying as an electrician, Marcus later joined the Queensland Ambulance Service as a student paramedic but always had the passion to be a trainer. He began by helping in his father’s business, loving every minute and getting great feedback.

From the outset he delighted in shaking things up a little, dispelling perceptions that first aid training had to be drawn out and boring. This ethos is at the heart of Certo’s trademark fresh approach, ensuring every First Aid & CPR course is always fun, practical and highly effective.

Director/Head Trainer

Marcus

The driving force behind Certo First Aid Training, Marcus is a born educator. With experience in the electrical industry and the Queensland Ambulance Service, he is passionate about passing on his knowledge to others in his uniquely engaging, energetic style.

Marcus is on a personal quest to make sure no one ever leaves a Certo First Aid course without feeling confident they could help save a life if called upon. It’s that vision that sees him go the extra mile in caring for the handpicked training team he’s assembled as well as the students and clients who keep his passion burning.

Office Manager

Flavia

Flavia is the very foundation of Certo First Aid Training, managing the office and coordinating students and clients. Born and raised in Brazil, Flavia was a devoted English teacher running her own business before finding her way to Australia.

With a passion for the learning environment, Flavia loves nothing more than seeing students interested and happy. That quality is at the heart of the caring relationships she forms with Certo’s students and clients alike.

Alice

Alice is the youngest member of the team but vital to Certo’s ethos. She is the number one reason Marcus and Flavia work so hard to educate people in life saving skills. Alice likes to keep everyone in check and is happy to be a real life manikin when it comes to demonstrating first aid for babies.

She certainly loves the attention and it’s an auspicious start to her own First Aid journey.
