UETDRRF004 – Perform Rescue From a Live LV Panel *
Course focus:
The ultimate purpose of this training is to ensure that you have the skills and knowledge required to respond appropriately and effectively to an emergency Low Voltage Rescue situation. This course includes CPR and the competent completion of this course will entitle you to a Statement of Attainment for UETDRRF004 – Perform Rescue From a Live LV Panel and HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation.
Topics covered include:
The training will assist learners to:
- Conduct an inspection of rescue equipment
- Assess hazards to rescuer, victim and others prior to an actual rescue operation
- Conduct isolation procedures where appropriate
- Demonstrate knowledge of Safe Approach Distances (SAD’s) appropriate to rescue from a live LV panel
- Demonstrate how to involve external emergency services
- Correctly use LV rescue equipment
- Control hazards to rescuer, victim and others
- Maintain Safe Approach Distances (SAD’s) appropriate to rescue from a live LV panel
- Practically demonstrate rescuing a person from a live LV panel
- Demonstrate removing a victim to safe location/place of safety

What to wear on the day:
Comfortable casual clothing.
Delivery and Assessment
This course is a very practical program that involves attendance at a 2-2.5-hour workshop and completion of a self-paced online theory training, which takes approximately 1.5 hours.
IMPORTANT NOTE: If you are unable to perform the adult CPR practical by kneeling on the floor you will not be able to receive a Statement of Attainment. However, you can be issued a Letter of Attendance if you can only perform the CPR practical on a table or if you are unable to perform the practical component at all.
* The UETDRRF004 – Perform rescue from a live LV panel is a superseded unit of competency. A superseded unit of competency means that the offering has been replaced. The current unit of competency UETDRMP007 Perform rescue from a live low voltage panel replaces the UETDRRF004 – Perform rescue from a live LV panel.
